On January 24, 2008, Susan Sidebottom Photography welcomed guests to its new location in the historic Charlotte Linen Supply Building at 1430 South Mint Street. Over 80 guests joined Susan Sidebottom and Meg Barr for wine and dessert to celebrate the opening of Susan's newly expanded photography studio. Susan is now working in 2300 square feet which provides significant flexibility and greater variety for photo shoots. Clients have a dedicated meeting area for proof review discussions. In addition, a new children's area offers a comfortable place to get dressed, to play before or after a shoot, or for siblings to relax during a shoot.
On display in the gallery area are numerous examples of Susan's work including portraits of past and current clients along with exhibition portraits from Susan's community project, Lifeline to the Community. In the children's area, Susan showcased her hand-painting offerings with a collection titled "A Walk in the Park," consisting of 9 images printed on canvas and then selectively hand-painted. Three large architectural photographs anchor the space while also displaying the broad range of Susan's work.
If you have any questions about the new studio or wish to schedule a visit, please feel free to contact Director of Operations, Meg Barr at meg@sidebottomphotography.com.
